Tim Keller – The Truth About Christianity: God surrendered His freedom!
We are truly a blessed generation to have men of God such as Tim Keller in our midst. This is one of the clearest expositions on John 1:1 and in this video, besides the helpful graphics, Keller gives several good arguments which deconstruct some of atheistm’s basic view points (i.e. that you give up your freedom if you follow God, or that you are just a robot following a bunch of God’s rules). Keller packs (and unpacks) a lot in just 14 minutes.

Wow ……
prin El, de El , si pentru El
Tata avea un obicei ” prost” care ne irita pe noi la maxim.. Se minuna de tot ce vedea, dacă mergea la grădina Zoologică si vedea un animal se minuna, se minuna de un copac, de soare, incontinuu spune ” vai ce minune , uite ce a creat Dumnezeu” , atita repeta ca pur si simplu trabuia sa-i spunem sa taca.
După ani de zile am început sa înțeleg ca Domnul i-a dat abilitatea sa vadă cea ce noi nu puteam sa vedem, vedea degetul lui Dumnezeu in toate lucrurile si îl lauda tot timpul. Mi s-a intimplat si mie de vreo câteva ori cind , uitindu-mă la cer sau in natura, parca o ceata mi s-a luat de pe ochi si am putut sa ” vad ” cea ce nu am putut sa vad înainte , o parte din Gloria lui Dumnezeu. Poate acelea au fost singurele momente in viața mea in care am putut cu adevărat sa-l laud ( worship) pe Domnul cu adevărat …

. Si el zicea ca acesta este un dar. Persoane care au acest ‘sense of wonderment’ ca nu stiu cum sa ii spun mai bine pe Romaneste, printre care sunt si eu, avem simtaminte de inferioritate ca si cum ‘n-am mai vazut noi natura, peisaje,etc? M-am bucurat sa citesc ca totusi este un dar de a-L recunoaste pe Dumnezeu prin amprenta Lui creatoare si ceva de apreciat. Your dad must have been a very special man. Imagine the wonderment up in heaven. Someone had a dream of my dad meeting my mom up in heaven and my mom telling him, “I heard you didn’t want to come yet’ and my dad answering ‘I had no idea how beautiful it is here’. Truth is, (and known only to me and my husband and kids and one other brother, my dad did not want to go yet and prayed for healing up until his last minutes of breath, as did we (our house) and the dream sounds so real and the person who dreamed it had no idea my dad didn’t want to go. Some interesting thoughts from real life (and death). Hope to explore all this on the blog in the near future.
