I liked the distinction he makes between intellectual universalism an practical universalism.

I was happy to learn that Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary is committed to the inerrancy of the word of God, and then in this one video alone, Dr.Akin covers a broad spectrum of theology, so of course there are a lot more videos to come from there on this blog.

When you get the chance, read over or listen to the 2 posts from John Piper on ‘Marriage is not about staying in love’– I picked them as part of the ongoing family series posts that I regularly post, however, as I watched the sermon and reread it (both sermons he gave on two separate Sundays) I discovered a great analysis on creation (see where he connects Jesus to Moses in Genesis 2) and Piper shows why he believes Genesis 1& 2 literally, and his great analysis of sin, the fall and shame.
In his Genesis 2 analysis he shows that you would have to disregard the words of Jesus in order to support a non-literal interpretation of Genesis 1 & 2 (which as you know some great theologians like Sproul, Keller and others hold to the opposite view, and some Romanians are now also buying into that misguidedly because they believe science disproves a literal 7 day creation.
Funny thing about that is that I watched my first Richard Dawkins lecture (which was not easy-it turned my stomach when he mentioned that parents indoctrinating their children with faith amounts to child abuse) but he states that the belief in evolution has one logical conclusion-atheism. So, I posted Dawkins’ lecture. We need to know the atheist’s agenda, and it’s not a benign one either, because they are fighting to get their atheistic religion pushed onto our kids in schools while screaming child abuse if we the parents want to teach our own children, our own faith. And, interestingly, his agenda is for the United States because he feels Europe is already won over.

I will download them today. thx for the tip, i was wondering where Piper stands on the creation issue. There is a guy , Ken Ham, of the Creation Museum (Kentucky), that has a bunch of good material about this subject, I bought most of them, trying to get some in our sunday school( good luck, they are to busy learning songs for ” programul de duminica)/ He quotes a study that shows that kids lose their faith in God, not in college, but in middle school and high school, and the reason is the evolution/creation debate. Most of them have been raised with the silly cartoons about Noah and Jesus that you see every day in our sunday schools, and when they go to their secular school, those guys never use cartoons, they use the ,so called. „scientific facts”. We lose our kids right there, for they start doubting the word of God.
That is why( Ken Ham says) our Sunday Schools must change their approach of how they present certain subjects.

Well it seems the atheists know what our children should be taught in order to win them over to their sides, and that is evolution. If we don’t present the biblical perspective to our children, then the fight is already over. Our brothers in Romania are once again ahead of us. One leader I know of, Lucian Oniga, who started the youth camps in the 1990’s and holds the Peniel Youth Conference in a different location/city every year, is now scheduling Apologetics conferences as well.

However, as you say, by then the youth are already indoctrinated with secular humanism. It really does need to start much earlier, and parents need to know Creation apologetics as well. There is much that can be done, however, I’m not sure Churches even recognize the need for such programs. If they did, they would be doing something about it.
I will look up and see what I can find online from Ken Ham and post in the future.
