Church bombed June 25, 2012 which killed 21 people – photo http://www.guardian.co.uk
The constant and ruthless attacks against Christians in Nigeria has left over 300 children at a Christian orphanage and school in Ogun State without one or both parents. Many of these kids witnessed unspeakable horrors and now bear emotional or physical scars. In this video, you’ll meet five of these children and see how The Voice of the Martyrs is helping provide them with education, a safe place to live, and new hope. Rodi, this is so shocking! It is almost unbearable to watch… The Christians here may very well believe that this is the Great Tribulation! This shows how the depraved human nature is corrupted to the bone…. How else could one explain the killing of children in the name of religion?

Unbearable is a good word for it. I subscribe to Voice of the Martyrs Canada and Mission News Network and sometimes I hesitate before I click on the email because I dread what I may read about more martyrdom suffered by some of our brothers and sisters. It makes one cry. I pray that God gives them strength. But, you know, they may soon be an example to follow for us, precisely because it is very possible that this assault on the believers of Christ may spread to the West eventually.
