IS THIS NOT A CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY???

How long will we allow this to continue?
Will we look back for the first time in 20 years
and declare what is happening now is unethical
and totally unacceptable?” Steven Bennett

„It is an unforgivable act to not let a mother see her own baby,” writes Irina Haugane, from an article published yesterday evening in the national newspaper Adresseavisen from Norway.
The mother was woken up by one of Irina’s (the journalist who wrote this article) best friends at St. Olav’s Hospital after having a Caesarean section, but without her baby boy.
Barnevernet, Norway’s CPS, without warning, took her precious baby – she is not even allowed to breastfeed him
A nurse took a picture of the baby, even though, this may not have been proper, just so the mother could see her child. The nurse felt it was the right thing to do.
Irina writes, “It all feels like an absurd experiment, which reminds me of Harry Harlow’s ‘monkey love experiments’ in the 1950’s and 1960’s, where infant monkeys were separated from their mothers and interaction was replaced with surrogate mothers.
It had fatal consequences for baby moneys and the research on monkeys was declared as unethical.
Now, in 2016 experiments are performed on people in much the same way. Babies are taken from their mothers. What ‘surrogate mothers’ they get, I do not know, but who can replace a mum or dad in this situation?
At the hospital, it is emphasised how important it is for the first time of skin-to-skin contact with your baby, so your baby can manage to keep the right temperature.
The umbilical cord is also important for the baby’s perception to know that it is safe, and from the smell, the baby knows where it should be.
What fatal consequences will this precious baby experience from such deprivation, not only as a baby, but eventually, as a child and an adult and a man – and for the biological parents, it can only be unimaginable pain – completely heartbreaking.
To not let the mother see her own baby – see if it lives and see if it is well – is an unforgivable act.”
Irina continues…. “I’m sick and I’m sitting in Oslo with tears of such cruel experiments taking place in my hometown Trondheim.
The system we live under now (Barnevernet, Norway’s CPS) has already sabotaged a time that is irreplaceable both for the baby and mother.
What arguments do they have to do this, I do not know, but I do know that they certainly do not hold.
Today, I’m ashamed of living in a society that allows such cruelty. And, time and time again people complain from all quarters; locally, nationally and internationally, but the system still remains and with far too much power to perform human rights violations.
How long will we allow this to continue? Will we look back for the first time in 20 years and declare what is happening now is unethical and totally unacceptable?”
