Gianna povesteste cum mama si tatal ei  aveau doar 17 ani cand mama ei a ramas insarcinata.

How to make abortion palatable – a letter from Wormwood

John Knight of Desiring God writes a story, using C S Lewis’s fictional characters Wormwood and Grubnat from his book titled ‘The Screwtape Letters”. The Screwtape Letters is a satirical Christian apologetic novel written in epistolary style by C. S. Lewis, first published in book form in February 1942. The story takes the form of a series of letters from a senior Demon Screwtape to his nephew Wormwood, a Junior Tempter. The uncle’s mentorship pertains to the nephew’s responsibility for securing the damnation of a British man known only as „the Patient”.

The Subtle Art of Destroying Humans

by John Knight (DesiringGod.org)

My dearest Grubnat,

I am glad to see you are finally learning to be subtler in manipulating your human. As I had warned you, I was concerned that your boisterous assault on the unborn vermin with the rare chromosomal makeup (the “disabled,” as the other vermin call them) was going to expose all our plans to destroy them.

So I congratulate you on the recent article in The New York Times, “Breakthroughs in Prenatal Screening.” I can see your skills developing. We must continue on this path as it does two important things for us: 1) it further blinds the humans to our real schemes; and 2) it rids us of having to deal with those foul, weak, “special” children that the Enemy calls “indispensable.” We mustn’t lose our grip here.

Because of this article, and unlike my last letters to you, I actually have a few things to commend — things to see you repeat.

No Names, No Shame

Now, I wouldn’t have opened the article exactly the way you did (more on that in my comments about how you can improve), but I must admit I appreciate how you dehumanized the mother and the child in your opening paragraphs.

Refusing to mention the name of the child was excellent! Names are bad for our cause. It makes the humans actually begin to imagine them as “children” rather than the “mere tissue” we want them to think those little humans are. Let them only think the child is “Down syndrome,” and never Michael or Elizabeth.

Silence of the Moms

Also, good job on not quoting the mother at all about how she feels today about her child. Those puny humans, left with all their preconceived notions and prejudices, already do well at creating frightening alternative realities for that mother. They talk about how sad she was, how horrible her life was, how much better it would have been if that child had never been born. In fact, I am a little jealous at how quickly they’ve been trained to distort reality.

The humans who have been through the distortion tutelage usually aren’t even afraid of the right things! When a parent talks about both the hardship and the “blessing” of raising that child (yes, the Enemy often makes good come to the family through this vermin), a little whiff of reality sets in. And when that happens it becomes harder for us to kill the next one. So keep bleaching from their minds the idea of these babies being real persons.

The Responsibility of Fatality

Another thing: the clean, clinical description of the prenatal tests nicely ignored any discussion about how much the culture loathes these disabled children. How laughable for them to think that “tests” are neutral in a world like theirs!

The doctors and so-called ethicists are the best among them for our cause. Keep working on the medical professionals to believe that termination is a responsible choice, especially when you know the mother doesn’t have anyone around her to support the birth of her child.

A Well-Informed Genocide

And another thing: The following sentence was perhaps your best: “When prenatal testing reveals that a fetus has a serious birth defect, some women may consider ending their pregnancies.” Hilarious! Yes, yes, yes! Let the mothers think they are just making an “informed, personal choice” rather than realize that they’re part ofour culturally orchestrated attack on children who have the extra chromosome. The Holocaust was fun, but this is even more satisfying. They actually think their individual choices don’t accumulate into genocide.

Now enough with the commendations! Here are a few things you neglected.

No Baby Pictures

Why in the world did you allow them to have drawings of babies in the graphic above the article? Yes, some humans are so calloused that they don’t care whether it is a baby or not. But most don’t like to think too much about it. Don’t give them any evidence that the little creatures they are destroying are actually human just like them. Don’t make this mistake again. Test tubes or computer code or something like that are far better. Keep it clean and scientific.

Bury Abortion

As much as I appreciated your opening the article with the story about the friend with the disabled child, you overdid it. The headline was about prenatal screening and you immediately made the story about abortion. The humans are stupid but even they can see an agenda this obvious. Next time bury the abortion bit later in the story so that the test results always end with a “compassionate” termination.

Avoid Real Sufferers

Never suggest that they talk to parents who are raising children with disabilities. For some unknown reason to me, when they talk to people who have experienced real suffering rather than imagined suffering, they get encouraged and emboldened. You know how our Enemy works in suffering.

Killing Can Be a Good Thing

In the future, only present all the hardship and expense and loneliness and how awful their lives will be, always couching it in terms of how horrible their baby’s life will be. They feel better, and their hearts get just a little harder, when they rationalize that killing their baby was a good thing. That’s the reason that if we can convince a woman to have an abortion she will likely have more.

Make these corrections and I’m sure your next piece will be even better. And I knowThe New York Times will be happy to print it.

Content with your work, for now,

Wormwood

Limiting Abortion Hurts Texas Men Who Like Women – a despicable editorial by Ben Sherman

Source – http://m.christianpost.com (ALSO read this second article from the Christian Post – Inherent and Obvious Misogyny: Abortion Enslaves Women to Men’s Carnal Lusts). This article was written originally for the Burn Orange Report. Burnt Orange Report is a blog „written from a progressive/liberal/Democratic standpoint” founded by University of Texas students.

Christian Post:

When the pro-abortion group ChoiceUSA coined the term „bro-choice,” it probably was not expecting self-described bro-choicer Ben Sherman’s July 3 editorial in Burn Orange Report. Letting women abort a fetus older than 20 weeks is important, he wrote, because it helps him have more casual sex. His words led pro-lifers to wonder why such a demeaning view of women is acceptable while pro-life men are told they should have no input in the abortion debate.

„Your sex life is at stake. Can you think of anything that kills the vibe faster than a woman fearing a back-alley abortion?” Sherman wrote in the article, titled „Bro-Choice: How #HB2 Hurts Texas Men Who Like Women.”

„Making abortion essentially inaccessible in Texas will add an anxiety to sex that will drastically undercut its joys,” Sherman continued. „And don’t be surprised if casual sex outside of relationships becomes far more difficult to come by.”

The week after Sherman wrote his article, pro-lifers can be found using the #brochoice hashtag on Twitter.

Kirsten Powers, a journalist for The Daily Beast and a pro-life Democrat who used to work for the Clinton administration, tweeted several passages from the column, then wrote this: „Members of this new #brochoice movement are pathetic. Act like a man and take some responsibility for your choices.”

„#Brochoice. Excusing men from their responsibilities by encouraging women to forgo theirs. #gross,” added conservative commentator Dana Loesch.

„True #brochoice would be giving dads a say in the fate of the child they helped create. #Life,” Eric Teetsel, executive director of the Manhattan Declaration, remarked.

ChoiceUSA has a webpage describing its „Bro-Choice Campaign.”

„Through the Bro-Choice Campaign, Choice USA will elevate this dialogue in the media, ultimately disrupting the dominant narrative that reproductive justice is exclusively a ‘women’s issue,'” it states.

Bro-choicers can sign the „Bro-Choice Pledge,” to, among other things, „challenge negative stereotypes and representations of men and masculinity,” and „call out sexism and rape culture when I see it.”

Pro-life activist Ryan Scott Bomberger also took on the bro-choice campaign with his own unique visual style. At toomanyaborted.com he has a series of memes about „pro-choice multiple personalities” that can be posted to Facebook or Twitter.

„In one breath, abortion activists will declare ‘religion has no place in a woman’s right to choose!’ Then in the next, they scream ‘Hail Satan!'” he wrote. „The PRO-CHOICE ACTIVISM MULTIPLE PERSONALITY memes … may be funny, but they illuminate a serious debilitating condition.”

In the bro-choice meme, „‘Pro-Choice’ Multiple Personality #8450” (shown), one pro-choicer says: „Men have, like, NO say about abortion and stuff.” The other pro-choicer adds, „Unless you’re BRO-CHOICE like me.”

European Parliament Rejects Bill Declaring Abortion a Fundamental Human Right (for now)

Some welcome news from the European continent, and a collective sigh of relief for the thousands of lives that will be saved, for now.. Why the abortion rights advocates and some European leaders pushed for a vote that would declare abortion as a human right is perplexing, when, if you look at the photo at the bottom of this post, aside from Ireland, where abortion is legal when the life of the mother is threatened, the rest of the countries make it very easy and lawful to terminate the life of one’s child. The draft is full of condemnations of countries that do not have unrestricted abortions (see examples below video).

Citizengo.org has been working with the public, in petitioning the EU MEP’s to vote against this resolution which not only promotes abortion, but infringes on the laws already in place in the EU member countries-

You can read the EU resolution that was voted upon here: “Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights” (SRHR). This resolution promotes abortion as a fundamental right, attacks the right to conscientious objection, the rights of parents, and calls on the European Union to fund abortion in its Foreign and Development Aid Policy.  This text calls for more abortions and less rights for conscientious objectors and parents; it recommends nothing in relation to the prevention of abortion or support for pregnant women. Read more at Citizengo.org.

Video of the EU Parliament Vote

VIDEO by Antoine Pasquier

Although the resolution was described as non binding, you can see that in the details, the resolution is aiming to override the sovereign borders of the member countries where abortions does have some restrictions in place. Here is part of the draft resolution in greater detail, from Citizengo.org:

–          It condemns “the abuse of conscientious objection” (§G) in relation to abortion and calls on Member States to “regulate and monitor the use of conscientious objection” (§11).  According to the explanatory report “There are cases [of conscientious objection] reported from Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Poland, Ireland and Italy where nearly 70% of all gynaecologists and 40% of all anaesthesiologists conscientiously object to providing abortion services.” (p.12 & 13)

–          It condemns “medically unnecessary waiting periods” that is to say a period of reflection between the request for an abortion and the abortion itself.

–          It condemns the “overly restrictive interpretations of existing limits” to abortion in Ireland, Malta and Poland (§G).

–          It claims that abortion is a human right guaranteed by international law. (§7, 10)

–          It maintains that adolescents have a “right to confidentiality” as regards sexual and reproductive health: this implies that parents would be deprived of their rights when their daughter is pregnant (§14).

–          It invites Member States to ensure compulsory sexual education for all children even outside of school (§15).  This sexual education “must include the fight against stereotypes and prejudices, shed light on gender and sexual orientation discrimination, and structural barriers to substantive equality.” (§16)

–          It calls on the EU to finance abortion in poor countries through the European Development Fund for the period 2014-2020 (§22) and calls on the EU to incorporate the “SRHR”, which includes abortion, in the framework for European development cooperation (§23) on the grounds “that investments in reproductive health and family planning” would be “among the most cost-effective, in terms of development, and the most effective ways to promote the sustainable development of a country.” (§21)

The report from Life Site News:

The European Parliament today rejected a report that recommended that EU nations declare abortion to be a human right and to make abortion available within all public health systems of member countries. Adoption of the report would have placed more pressure on pro-life nations like Ireland, Poland and Malta to legalize abortion on demand. (Photo credit, on right http://www.telegraph.co.uk)

“The report states that 20 member nations permit abortion on demand (generally with a gestational limit). Of the seven remaining nations, three have very liberal restrictions regarding abortion while three nations will perform abortions only under more limited circumstances,” says pro-life analyst Nora Sullivan. “The measure the European Parliament is now considering contains no limits regarding gestational age – leaving open the possibility of elective-abortion-until-day-of-birth as a human right. Doubly disturbing are the severe infringement on conscience protections of physicians (specifically gynecologists and anesthesiologists) that are proposed.”

“This measure claims to be a human rights issue yet it fundamentally ignores the human rights of the three key people involved in this tragic act.  It ignores the most basic right, the right to life, of the baby at the center of the whole issue.  It ignores women’s real needs by hiding them behind the iron curtain of abortion rhetoric.  And it ignores the conscience of the doctor, who is being asked to end a human life after spending years training how to preserve it,” Sullivan said. “The European Union should not be asking physicians to suppress their consciences; it should be trying to find its own.”

After the voting was complete, 351 MEPs voted to send the pro-abortion bill back to committee while 319 voted against the move to zap the legislation.
The report asserts that currently, in countries where abortion is legal, it is often rendered unavailable due to physicians’ “abuse of conscientious objection or overly restrictive interpretations of existing limits.”

The proposed legislation seeks to require member nations to “regulate and monitor the use of conscientious objection so as to ensure that reproductive health care is guaranteed as an individual’s right, while access to lawful services is ensured and appropriate and affordable referrals systems are in place.”

The report goes on to state, “There are cases reported from Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Poland, Ireland and Italy where nearly 70 per cent of all gynecologists and 40 per cent of all anesthesiologists conscientiously object to providing abortion services.”

The Hail Satan videos in the Texas abortion battle

Gov. Rick Perry has called for a second special session to pass an abortion law that would prohibit the procedure past the 20th week of pregnancy. Abortion activists opposing the 20-week abortion ban bill in Austin, Texas, drew national attention earlier this week for chanting “Hail Satan” while pro-life advocates sang “Amazing Grace.” (Source Read more: http://www.washingtontimes.com)

Why should Christians fight against abortion if we don’t think it will be banned?

photo via www.guardian.co.uk

John Piper:

The reason we stand against the killing of babies is not because victory in a fallen world is likely. We fight because the nature of the sin is so public, and so egregious, and so contradictory to what enables a society to flourish, and so offensive to God, and so contrary to the spirit and precepts of the Bible, and so driven by motives that reveal unbelief in the word of God, that it would be a sin not to stand up and resist, in whatever way the Lord leads.

Infanticide: Is our culture returning to paganism?

Click on photo for news stories on infanticide.

Infanticide has a long history, and several cultures have routinely practiced it for several reasons including birth control, to destroy handicapped individuals seen as unfit and to kill female children because of cultural preference for males. While Infanticide is currently considered a much bigger taboo than abortion in America, it still takes place today in the U.S. and in other countries around the world. (Read more about it here) Also, read the Grand Jury Sumary on Dr. Gosnell, who performed infanticide as part of his botched abortions – http://www.rtl.org/action_center/pdfs/GrandJurySummary.pdf). The grand jury report in the Kermit Gosnell case is a detailed look into the grotesque conditions to which the Philadelphia abortionist subjected women and infants. The doctor is facing murder charges in the death of one patient due to a botched abortion, and seven babies. One employee testified that hundreds of born-alive children were killed in the clinic.

Michael F. Bird on where our culture is headed

Just like in a game of chess, which requires one to think ahead of the moves that follow, so, Michael F. Bird- a New Testament and historical Jesus scholar, and well known author (see amazon list here- http://www.amazon.com/Michael-F.-Bird and his contribution to Baker’s academic New Testament Backgrounds Set here – http://www.logos.com) writes an article  (which you can read here in full- http://www.patheos.com/blogs/euangelion/2013/04/infanticide-the-coming-battle, in which Bird comes to a startling conclusion- if he is correct, our society is returning to paganism.

His points: First, Same Sex Marriage is inevitable. Next, he believes euthanasia will be coming, and with it, a devaluation of the elderly. And after that, Bird believes infanticide will be on the horizon. Here he points to Planned Parenthood’s defense of post-birth abortion- infanticide:

Added to that, Planned Parenthood has recently defended infanticide: If you pay money, you are owed a dead baby! I think infanticide is a logically consistent corollary of abortion. If you are going to terminate a child in utero, then let’s be honest, going six inches down the birth canal can hardly change the infant’s legal rights or ontological status. So infanticide is just a logical outworking of abortion. But a cruel, bastardly, and barbaric logic is still cruel, bastardly, and barbaric regardless of how internally consistent it is.

Bird lays out a good case as to how infanticide will be portrayed in order to make it acceptable by its campaigners:

  1. They will call it post abortion, not infanticide, but as he states „killing an infant is an execution„.
  2. They will make examples out of infants born with terminal illnesses that need to end their suffering
  3. Planned Parenthood will parade teary eyed parents wishing they would have aborted the child in order to avoid the suffering
  4. Feminists will say that women are not truly liberated unless given the right to terminate their own infants
  5. You must be a religious nut if you are against infanticide

Now, if maybe we would have read this article by Bird before the infanticide performed at the Gosnell abortion clinic (which the media is purposefully ignoring) we might have thought it a bit of a stretch, or something in a possible, yet very distant future. But, Bird is spot on. And he calls for all of us to get our stuff together.

Bird offers his solution:

If infanticide ever becomes permissible it will mean the death of western culture as we know it. No longer a light in the darkness, but a greater part of the darkness. It will mean that we are ruled by Barbarians with Law degrees from Harvard. I believe that the one group with the resources and testicular fortitude to stand up for the defenceless, to be a voice for the voiceless, is the church of Jesus Christ. It’s what we do. Whether that was stopping gladiatorial contests in the arena or setting up hospices for the dying. In a world, like the Roman empire, that is often cold, brutal, and dark, where the weak are exploited or expendable, Christians are to be lights against darkness and a force against evil.

Please read Bird’s lengthy article here, and share it with as many people as you can (Christian and non-Christian)- http://www.patheos.com/blogs/euangelion/2013/04/infanticide-the-coming-battle

15 Truths About Abortion

I wonder how many young women know this fact? And, I wonder, if they knew could it have a bearing on their decision to terminate their own flesh and blood?

8. Ultrasound has given a stunning window on the womb that shows the unborn at eight weeks sucking his thumb, recoiling from pricking, responding to sound. All the organs are present, the brain is functioning, the heart is pumping, the liver is making blood cells, the kidneys are cleaning fluids, and there is a fingerprint. Virtually all abortions happen later than this date.

My friend over at Delight in Truth, is an anesthesiologist, with personal experience from assisting during surgeries and C-sections, and has a passion for the unborn children. You can read more fine articles written by him here – http://delightintruth.com/, it is enlightening to hear from someone who offers a biblical and medical perspective.

Delight in Truth

1. Existing fetal homicide laws make a man guilty of manslaughter if he kills the baby in a mother’s womb (except in the case of abortion).

2. Fetal surgery is performed on babies in the womb to save them while another child the same age is being legally destroyed.

3. Babies can sometimes survive on their own at 23 or 24 weeks, but abortion is legal beyond this limit.

4. Living on its own is not the criterion of human personhood, as we know from the use of respirators and dialysis.

5. Size is irrelevant to human personhood, as we know from the difference between a one-week-old and a six-year-old.

6. Developed reasoning powers are not the criterion of personhood, as we know from the capacities of three-month-old babies.

7. Infants in the womb are human beings scientifically by virtue of their genetic make up.

8. Ultrasound has given a…

The creepy, repulsive ad put out for the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade

just unbelievable…

It is morally repugnant to make fun of the death of unborn babies but that is what the Center for Reproductive Rights did with it’s new „Happy 40th Anniversary baby” ad.
Why do they have to celebrate 40 years of legalized abortion when many consider it murder?
It is also offensive to women that a man is the one conveying the message.

We know they are killing children – All of us know

FOR MILLIONS OF UNBORN BABIES,

THE WOMB HAS BECOME

Also read the ebook – Exposing the dark work of abortion here.

One biblical principle of justice is that the more knowledge we have that our action is wrong, the more guilty we are, and the more deserving of punishment (Luke 12:47–48). The point of this blog post is that we know what we are doing — all America knows. We are killing children. Pro-choice and Pro-life people both know this.

But before I show that, let’s clarify what the Supreme Court did forty years ago today. InRoe v. Wade the Supreme Court in effect made abortion on demand untouchable by law. The way this was done was with two steps.

One step was to say, laws may not prevent abortion, even during the full nine months, if the abortion is “to preserve the life or health of the mother.” The other step was to define “health” as “all factors — physical, emotional, psychological, familial and the woman’s age — relevant to the well-being of the patient.”

For forty years this has meant that any perceived stress is a legal ground for eliminating the child. We have killed fifty million babies. And what increases our guilt as a nation is that we know what we are doing. Here’s the evidence that we know we are killing children.

1. Anecdotally, abortionists will admit they are killing children.

Many simply say it is the lesser of two evils. I took an abortionist out to lunch once, prepared to give him ten reasons why the unborn are human beings. He stopped me, and said, “I know that. We are killing children.” I was stunned. He said, “It’s simply a matter of justice for women. It would be a greater evil to deny women the equal right of reproductive freedom.” Which means women should be no more encumbered by the consequences of an unplanned pregnancy than men. That equal freedom from the burden of bearing unwanted children is the basis for abortion that President Obama refers to again and again when he talks about equal rights for women. We know we are killing children.

2. States treat the killing of the unborn as a homicide.

We know what we are doing because 38 States (including Minnesota) treat the killing of an unborn child as a form of homicide. They have what are called “fetal homicide laws.”

It is illegal to take the life of the unborn if the mother wants the baby, but it is legal to take the life of the unborn if she doesn’t. In the first case the law treats the fetus as a human with rights; in the second case the law treats the fetus as non-human with no rights.

Humanness is defined by the desire of the strong. Might makes right. We reject this right to define personhood in the case of Nazi anti-Semitism, Confederate race-based slavery, and Soviet Gulags. When we define the humanness of the unborn by the will of the powerful we know what we are doing.

3. Fetal surgery treats the unborn as children and patients.

High risk pregnancy specialist, Dr. Steve Calvin, in a letter some years ago to the Arizona Daily Star, wrote, “There is inescapable schizophrenia in aborting a perfectly normal 22 week fetus while at the same hospital, performing intra-uterine surgery on its cousin.” When the unborn are wanted, they are treated as children and patients. When they are not wanted, they are not children. We know what we are doing.

4. Being small does not disqualify personhood.

The five-foot-eight frame of a teenage son guarantees him no more right to life than the 23-inch frame of his little sister in her mother’s arms. Size is morally irrelevant. One inch, 23 inches, 68 inches — does not matter. It is morally irrelevant in deciding who should be protected. We know what we are doing in killing the smallest.

5. Not having developed reasoning does not disqualify personhood.

A one-month-old infant, nursing at his mother’s breast, does not have reasoning powers. But only a few dare argue that infanticide is therefore acceptable. Most know better. Outside and inside the womb the infant cannot yet reason, but is a human person. We know what we are doing.

6. Being in the womb does not disqualify human personhood.

Location or environment does not determine a right to life. Scott Klusendorf asks, “How does a simple journey of seven inches down the birth canal suddenly transform the essential nature of the fetus from non-person to person?” We know what we are doing.

7. Being dependent on mommy does not disqualify personhood.

We consider persons on respirators or dialysis to be human beings. The unborn cannot be disqualified from human personhood because they are dependent on their mother for food and oxygen. In fact, we operate on the exact opposite principle: The more dependent a little one is on us, the more responsibility we feel to protect him, not the less. We know what we are doing.

(Those last four observations, #4-7, were summed up by Scott Klusendorf under the acronym SLED: Size, Level of development, Environment, Degree of dependence — none is morally relevant for the definition of human life.)

8. The genetic make up of humans is unique.

The genetic make up of a human is different from all other creatures from the moment of conception. The human code is complete and unique from the start. Once that was not known. Now we know.

9. All the organs are present at eight weeks of gestation.

At eight weeks of gestation all the organs are present. The brain is functioning, the heart pumping, the liver making blood cells, the kidney cleaning the fluids, the finger has a print. Yet almost all abortions happen later than this date. We know what we are doing.

10. We have seen the photographs.

The marvel of ultrasound has given a stunning window into the womb that shows the unborn, for example, at 8 weeks sucking his thumb, recoiling from pricking, responding to sound. Watch this four-minute video of the developing unborn child. We know that they are children.

11. When two rights conflict, the higher value should be protected.

We know the principle of justice that when two legitimate rights conflict, the right that protects the higher value should prevail. We deny the right to drive at 100 miles per hour because the value of life is greater than the value of being on time or getting thrills. The right of the unborn not to be killed and the right of a woman not to be pregnant may be at odds. But they are not equal rights. Staying alive is more precious and more basic than not being pregnant. We know what we are doing when we kill a child.

For Christians who believe the Bible, we could add at least ten more reasons why we know what is happening in abortion, and why it is wrong. But the aim here is threefold.

  1. To make clear that we will not be able to defend ourselves with the claim of ignorance. We knew. All of us.
  2. To solidify our conviction to resist this horrific evil.
  3. To intensify our prayer and our preaching toward gospel-based soul-renovation in our land, because hardness of heart, not ignorance, is at the root of this carnage.

Whether to declare it and endure it. We may embrace what God sends to us because He is sovereign and He is good.

There are 3 stark realities before us:

  1. There is no deliverance without Jesus and Jesus must be named, declared and confessed.
  2. There is no deliverance with the sin. Repentance means dropping the sin, letting go of the sin
  3. There are no alternatives. Choose for yourself this day whom you will serve.

Dr. Emil Silvestru – The Darwin Delusion

A lecture by Dr. Emil Silvestru, Romania’s foremost Geologist, born and raised in communist Romania, who founded the world’s first Speleological Institute (speleology is the study of caves) lectures on Charles Darwin who also was a speleologist at the beginning of his career. Dr. Silvestru recounts Darwin’s life and work and the influences that formed him during his lifetime. This lecture gives many historical details spanning several continents and detailing the prevailing philosophies and politics of Darwin’s time concluding with Darwin’s influence on eugenics- including abortion.

A tip for playing the video. Press the play button, wait 5 seconds and press the stop button. Wait a few minutes for the play bar to start downloading on your computer and then press start. For some reason, when the video stopped for me I got a green screen and I had to refresh the page and wait for the play bar to re load again so I could go back to the minute mark where it originally stopped. The video is well worth watching though, so please be patient.

Dr. Emil Silvestru – „The Darwin Delusion” – September 27th, 2009 Evening Service from Peoples Montreal on Vimeo.

Dr. Emil Silvestru’s bio – Emil earned his Ph.D in geology at the Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj, Romania, (where he has worked as an associate professor) in karst sedimentology. An authority on the geology of caves, he has written one book (The Cave Book), published over 48 peer-reviews scientific articles, and co-authored three books: Terra – Catastrophe Naturale (Terra – Natural Catastrophes), The Geologic Column: Perspectives within Diluvial Geology and Rock Solid Answers.

Before moving into full-time creation ministry in 1997 Emil was the head scientist at the worlds first Speleological Institute (speleology = the study of caves) in Cluj. His areas of expertise include: karstology, sedimentology, geology and hydrogeology of limestone terranes, cave glaciology, show cave assessment & design, exploration and geology of metamorphic ore deposits. He has over 30 years experience in climbing and spelunking, educating many young spelunkers and mountain climbing devotees as well as participating in mountain and cave rescue operations.

After becoming a Christian in 1994, Emil began to re-think previously held views on the age of the earth. In particular he became interested in studying the geological processes that resulted from the world-wide flood recorded in Genesis. He became convinced that the flood provided exceptional conditions that greatly accelerated the geological processes commonly thought to take millions of years. In January 2002 he immigrated to Canada from Romania with his family. Emil now works full-time for Creation Ministries International-Canada as a researcher, writer and speaker. (Read it in its entirety here – http://creation.com/emil-silvestru, including links to his published scientific papers )

In the summer of 2012 Emil suffered a stroke from which he has not yet fully recovered. Please pray for Dr. Silvestru.

Current Canadian law declares that children in the womb are not human until fully born

Another one of those things I (we) did not know about our neighbors to the North. What boggles the mind is how the population of Canadian women, who have experienced pregnancy and childbirth can let their legislators declare something so abhorrent. What then is a woman carrying in her womb, something subhuman or nonhuman? This is not just an all out assault on children, but an all out assault on women as well, under the so hypocritical guise of „helping” women. We „help” by declaring something subhuman and then by killing „it”? Isn’t that what Hitler did while the world stood by and watched?

One ray of hope comes in the news that the Canadian Parliament seeks to reopen the debate on

„what constitutes a human being”.  Also ” A bill put forward by Conservative Member of Parliament (MP) Stephen Woodworth seeks to reopen the debate by establishing a committee that will allow experts to give their opinions on when life begins and if unborn babies should be protected by law, the Ottawa Citizen reported.”

You can read the entire article here on the www.christianpost.com and please pray for the people’s hearts and minds to be renewed that they might have mercy for the unborn children who are slaughtered daily across Canada, the USA and the rest of the world.

God is a God of justice:

An act of justice is an act of intervention for the helpless, an act of defense for those who are too weak to defend themselves. In foretelling the Messiah, Psalm 72 says, „Justice shall flower in his days…for he shall rescue the poor man when he cries out and the afflicted when he has no one to help him” (Psalms 72:7,12). Jesus Christ is our justice (1 Corinthians 1:30) because He rescued us from sin and death when we had none to help us (see Romans 5:6, Ephesians 2:4-5).

If God does justice for His people, He expects His people to do justice for one another. „Be merciful as your heavenly Father is merciful” (Luke 6:36). „Go and do likewise” (Luke 10:37). „Do unto others as you would have them do to you” (Matthew 7:12). „Love one another” (John 15:17).

Abortion is the opposite of these teachings. It is a reversal of justice. It is a destruction of the helpless rather than a rescue of them. If God’s people do not intervene to save those whose lives are attacked, then the people are not pleasing or worshiping Him.

God says through Isaiah, „Trample my courts no more! Bring no more worthless offerings…Your festivals I detest…When you spread out your hands, I close my eyes to you; though you pray the more, I will not listen. Your hands are full of blood! Wash yourselves clean…learn to do good. Make justice your aim: redress the wronged, hear the orphan’s plea, defend the widow” (Isaiah 1:13-17).

Washington Post: Planned Parenthood- 40 days of prayer for (more) abortion

Will God be mocked? Psalm 14:1-4 The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good. The Lordlooks down from heaven on the children of man, to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God. They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one. Have they no knowledge, all the evildoers who eat up my people as they eat bread and do not call upon the Lord?

A prayer for abortion?

By Jordan Sekulow and Matthew Clark

Pro-life advocates have long complained that Planned Parenthood, the country’s largest abortion provider, worships at the altar of abortion, but did you know that the abortion industry actually prays for abortion?

Perversely reminiscent of 40 day pro-life prayer vigils, Planned Parenthood in Humboldt County, Ca., is promoting it’s own “40 days of prayer,” March 18th through April 27th, for abortion. This is not their usually disguised promotion of abortion as “preventative care,” “family planning,” or “contraceptive services.” No, they throw those typical euphemisms out and directly pray for abortion.

A prayer guide found on PlannedParenthood.org ,40 Days of Prayer Supporting Women Everywhere , encourages pro-abortion supporters to offer prayers of “thanks for abortion providers” and the “sacred care” they provide.

Each day, Planned Parenthood suggests a prayer, for example:

· “We give thanks for the doctors who provide quality abortion care.”

· We pray for a cloud of gentleness to surround every abortion facility.”

· We pray for all the staff at abortion clinics around the nation. May they be daily confirmed in the sacred care that they offer women.”

Some of the prayers, like those above, are for the abortionists. Others are for all “women to access . . . abortion,” and one is to “give thanks and celebrate that abortion is still safe and legal.”

Still other prayers are against pro-life advocates. They pray that women on the way to have an abortion would be “shielded” from the lifesaving message of pro-life sidewalk counselors and “give thanks for abortion escorts who guide women safely through the hostile gauntlets of protesters.” In another, “we pray for women who have been made afraid of their own power [of choice, i.e. abortion] by their religion. May they learn to reject fear and live bravely.”

One of the most outrageous of these pro-abortion prayers actually urges people to “pray for the families we’ve chosen. May they know the blessing of choice.” What about the babies who weren’t “chosen”?

Of course, none of this should be surprising when you take a look at the group who penned these prayers, Faith Aloud. Among Faith Aloud’s board members is the infamous partial-birth abortion doctor LeRoy Carhart.

While admitting that aborted babies are “our children—even those we decide not to bring into the world,” Faith Aloud cannot debunk the claim that abortion is murder. Faith Aloud’s Web site states, “When you hear something over and over, like ‘abortion is murder’, it can get into your head—like a commercial. But if you really believed that abortion was the same as murder you probably wouldn’t even be considering it.”

All Planned Parenthood and Faith Aloud can do is rationalize the taking of another human’s life under the guise of prayer.

But apparently, these prayers are being used by the entire abortion industry. Faith Aloud even wrote us after we at the ACLJ initially exposed Planned Parenthood’s prayer guide to clarify, “Independent abortion providers (non-Planned Parenthood facilities) have been using these prayers for years.”

While the prayers themselves are shocking, the true outrage continues to be the yearly slaughter of millions of unborn babies. No matter how you try to spiritualize it or rationalize, it’s just plain wrong, and we will continue fighting for life.

Jordan Sekulow is Executive Director of the American Center for Law & Justice and writes for On Faith’s blogging network at the Washington Post. Matthew Clark is an attorney for the ACLJ.

Who decides who gets to live or die? Hitler? ProAbortionists?

What is Conscience? that faculty of the mind, or inborn sense of right and wrong, by which we judge of the moral character of human conduct. It is common to all men. Like all our other faculties, it has been perverted by the Fall (John 16:2; Acts 26:9; Rom. 2:15). It is spoken of as „defiled” (Titus 1:15), and „seared” (1 Tim. 4:2). A „conscience void of offence” is to be sought and cultivated (Acts 24:16; Rom. 9:1; 2 Cor. 1:12; 1 Tim. 1:5, 19; 1 Pet. 3:21)

If you haven’t yet seen Ray Comfort’s „180 movie”, you really should. He starts by asking young people what they would do in different scenarios if they were played out under Hitler’s regime. Then, he takes the same logic these young people used in giving their answers to his challenging questions and applies it to abortion. This video is enlightening in 2 ways: 1) It is surprising how many people do not even know who Hitler was, therefore how can they know about the atrocities he committed? And even if you knew about those atrocities of the holocaust, I challenge you to look at the footage displayed in this video at a couple of places and see what it does to your revulsion at such horrific violence as was perpetrated during the Holocaust. 2) It is even more surprising how young people’s minds are so brainwashed with the way they perceive abortion that a couple of them are shocked at their own conclusions towards the end of the video.

Below this video is another video, it’s actually from 2010, however it illustrates a point. A clergy person is not allowed to pray outside an abortion clinic and is subsequently arrested, while inside a doctor takes human lives and has the backing of the police department outside to keep them as far away as possible in order to not sway any young woman in any way possible from committing this act.
