Cadoul timp

Young man busy pray

Chiar acum cand citesti aceste randuri, timpul marsaluieste inainte.

What hope can Jesus offer us as we live in these uncertain economic times? David Jeremiah

Read/Watch related:

This has been the great quest through all of this, to make sure people understand that we’re not left without options. I’d like to suggest some. I want to remind people:

  1. Keep your head in the game. A lot of Christians say, „I don’t like the news, the news is bad. It scares me, so I’m not gonna listen to it.” So, they just bury their head in the sand, as if they don’t need to know anything that’s going on. That’s wrong, and I don’t think the Bible gives us permission to do that. So, we’re not going to become economists, but keep your head in the game.
  2. Keep your house in order. Peole say to me, they are frustrated because they cannot do anything about the White House. Well, that’s not our problem right now. Our problem is to do something about our own house. And, while we may not be able to keep this nation from going into debt, we can deal with it in our own lives. We can keep ourselves organized. I remember, one of the things my wife and I did, is we did a little inventory, just to see where we were. You may not like what you see, but at least you know the truth.
  3. Keep your heart in your faith. Some Christians, when they get discouraged, they just drop out. They don’t do anything. I wanna encourage you not to do that.
  4. Here’s the most important thing: Keep your hope in God. We were never made to find our hope in this world. We were made to find our hope in God. And isn’t it interesting, as things get darker a little bit here, we find our own hearts beating for the things of God in a way they have never before experienced. That’s what’s happened to me. I find a new sense of urgency, a new determination to live the rest of my days for the world that I’m heading to, not the world that I’m leaving.

God chose this time for us to live. He could have chosen for us to live in any other time. And we need to embrace that. I don’t like all the stuff that’s going on around us. I don’t know where it’s all going, but I know God and God’s up to something. I remember in a study of the Book of Daniel, they were in a similar period and there’s a verse there that I’ve grabbed hold of it. It says:

Daniel 11:32

„And they who knew their God were strong, and did exploits.”

What is the biblical perspective on the „new world order”? David Jeremiah

Read/Watch related:

David Jeremiah: It sounds like ti would be a good idea. It even maybe sounds like it is a God idea. But, it’s not. In fact, I remember how impressed I was and how simply put it is in the Book of Acts that God is not an internationalist. Listen to this, this is what it says in the Book of Acts 17:26-27:

26 and He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation, 27 that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us;

Isn’t it interesting that it was the attempt of ancient civilization to try and reach up to heaven in rebellion against God, and God put us in nation units, so that in those smaller units, we would be more prone to seek after God and not sense the power we had apart from Him. So, God’s made it very clear where he stands. And, by the way, when you get to the end of the time of history, and all of the end prophecies, guess what? There are still nations. We’re still in a national format. So, I don’t think God is the champion of the New World Order.

John Ankerberg: The ancient attempt to create a New World Order was dissolved by God. Now, take what God is saying in Acts and apply that to America. Why have we been so great? How could we be the most powerful nation in the world and how does this relate to what God says?

David Jeremiah: One of my favorite statements from the pen of C S Lewis goes like this: There is no clever arrangement of rotten eggs that will make a good omelet. One of the problems we have in trying to put our nations together is we’re all sinful nations, we’re sinful creatures. But, I think we need to stop and ask ourselves at this point and time. As a nation, are we concerned about the world? Absolutely. But, God has called us as a nation. Acts 17 really makes that clear that He set our boundaries. And, this nation that you and I love has been great because the people of this nation have taken seriously the importance of building a strong national entity. We’re not the largest nation, but we’re the most powerful nation in the world. We have not been globalists and we have not been internationalists. We have been nationalists and because of that we have been strong. Frankly, if you wanna know why we’re having such activity among the tea party people and all that, there’s this sense in our nation that we have lost some of that and people are angry about it and they want it back. And I think that’s a good thing.

What is the goal of the „new world order”? And, why are even religious leaders calling for it? David Jeremiah

Read/Watch related:

They are trying to bring everybody together so that there’s basically centralized leadership. We know that that’s the preliminary force that’s going to bring us to the place where one man can actually rule the world.

The Europeans are trying to get all their nations in a group and they’re having a tough time doing it. And, yet, they’re still calling for the United States and all of the major nations of the world that would have 90% of the economy of the world, to come together and figure out the rules that they would govern and everybody would obey the rules, so that he whole world would work together. Because, if the United States goes down, or China goes down, or some of these countries, like Greece, they can pull the rest in, and they don’t want that. They’re afraid of that. „And so, we’ve got to work together,” they’re saying, „so we don’t hurt each other.”

Sometime when you see ‘new world order’, it gets conspiratorial. I don’t think that is really the issue. I think the real issue is that these nations are beginning to realize how interdependent we are globally and how what happens here (USA) affects what happens there (elsewhere). And they think the answer to that is to somehow bring us all together and make us one, and create a unity out of a disunity that we have.

It hasn’t worked in the past tries towards a new world order. The new world order is not orderly and it’s not new. It goes all the way back in history to the Book of Genesis. In fact, in the post flood civilization, after Noah’s flood, they possessed a unity of language and they came to the land of Shinar, we are told, and it’s a place where Iraq is today. And, it’s the historic place of Babel. And, according to Genesis 11, the leaders of this new world order decided to build a tower to celebrate their unity and their power.

Genesis 11:2-4

It came about as they journeyed east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there. They said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks and burn them thoroughly.” And they used brick for stone, and they used tar for mortar. They said, “Come, let us build for ourselves a city, and a tower whose top will reach into heaven, and let us make for ourselves a name, otherwise we will be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.”

And there were really 2 reasons, as you look back at that for doing it. They were interested in security and they were interested in significance.

What is the „new world order,” and

why are even religious leaders calling for it?

…one of the reasons, we’ve had this incredible financial meltdown and we no longer feel like we can solve this in our individual nations, and it’s gotta be done globally.

… some of the presidents that have served us, pushed us in that direction.

…it goes back to H G Wells who wrote ‘A War of the Worlds’. A book about a New World Order, a book in which he actually used the term ‘United States of the World’.

…in 1977, Jimmy Carter wrote a message that was placed on a space Vehicle Voyager I and II, and that message said the following: „The Voyager spacecraft was constructed by the United States of America, a community of 200 million human beings among the more than 4 billion who inhabit the earth, still divided into nation-states but rapidly becoming a single global civilization.” And, he put this in that capsule, so that if anybody found it, he assumed that by the time it was found, we would no longer be national entities, but, we would be one global entity.

… when George Herbert Walker Bush came into office and we had the Persian Gulf crisis, and he got all the nations involved, in terms of going into Iraq. And, he used the phrase New World Order. He is probably the greatest champion for the New World Order (in the White House, at least) in history. He addressed the joint sessions of Congress, which had been called to deal with the Persian Gulf crisis and the federal budget deficit and he repeatedly referred to the New World Order: „Out of these troubled times, our fifth objective, a new world order, can emerge at this very moment. They serve together, the Arabs, the Europeans, the Asians and the Africans, in defense of priciple and  the dream of a new world order.”

… today, that new world is struggling to be born. A world quite different from the one we’ve known.

..And, it’s not only true in the political world. In a statement by the Pope, Pope Benedict XVI, that was part of his encyclical letter in 2009, here are his words: „In the force of the unrelenting growth of global interdependence, there is a strongly felt need  even in the midst of a global recession, there is an urgent need of a true world political authority. Such an authority would need to be universally recognized and be vested  with the effective power to ensure security for all.”

How has the United Nations been involved

in trying to create a new world order?

David Jeremiah – ‘God loves you; He always has, He always will’ at Liberty University

That comes to a great surprise for a lot of people, because, if we’re not careful, we believe that God’s love is like ours. How many of you know that our love has a lot of ‘ifs’ in it? I love you if… I love you if you treat me right. I love you if you’re handsome or if you’re beautiful, or if you achieve. God’s love doesn’t have any ifs in it. God loves you because it is His nature to love you. And it is true to say that God loves you, He always has and He always will. It is also true to say that nothing you can ever do will make God love you more than He loves you right now. And nothing you can ever do can make Him love you less than He loves you right now. Because, God doesn’t love you so much because of what’s in you, God loves you because of what’s in Him. And God is love  and love comes from God.

Whenever I say that and there are young people around, they always say, „Yeah, but what if I don’t love God? He still loves me?” That’s what I want to talk to you about today. I want to share a story from Luke 15.

  • God loves you even when you don’t love Him.
