Comisarul ONU Yadh Ben Achour vorbeşte despre obligaţia universală a avortării copiilor cu sindrom Down

Până de curând, mulţi oameni care urmăresc politica pro-avort pe care se străduiesc o parte din membrii ONU să o aducă forţat în toate ţările lumii observau cum se încerca să se transforme practica avortului într-un „drept universal la avort”.

Pentru susţinătorii avortului, care le neagă orice drept la viaţă copiilor în primele luni ale vieţii, nici aceasta nu mai pare suficient. Se încearcă transformarea „dreptului” în obligaţie. La Geneva, unii membri ai Comitetul ONU pentru Drepturile Omului ar vrea să impună tuturor ţărilor să înlăture protecţia vieţii copiilor diagnosticaţi cu dizabilităţi și să instituie legalizarea universală a avortului în caz de dizabilitate a copilului.

Comisarul Yadh Ben Achour a făcut o afirmaţie din care se înţelege că avortul în caz de sindrom Down al fătului ar trebui să devină obligatoriu:

Dacă îi spui unei femei: „Copilul dumneavoastră are Dow… ” — cum se cheamă?… „sindrom Down, sau Doun” —, dacă-i spui asta, nu-i aşa, sau că s-ar putea să sufere de un handicap pe viaţă, ar trebui să determini această femeie să… ar trebui să fie posibil pentru ea să recurgă la avort pentru a evita handicapul, ca măsură preventivă.

Fundaţia Jerome LeJeune, care poartă numele descoperitorului sindromului Down, un catolic fervent şi un savant pro-viaţă, a iniţiat o petiţie care îi cerere comisarului ONU Ben Achour să-şi retragă afirmaţiile.

A member of the United Nations Human Rights Committee has defended the use of abortion to eliminate babies with Down syndrome and other disabilities as a “preventive measure” to “avoid the handicap.”

In response to Mr. Ben Achour’s speech, a young woman with Down syndrome made her own YouTube video in response, suggesting that the commissioner apologize for his “horrible comments.”

Mr Ben Achour, expert of the Human Rights Committee of the UN, has made a speech in favour of prenatal eradication of people with Down syndrome. Shocked by this speech, Charlotte, young woman with down syndrome, answers to Mr Ben Achour : „I’m a human being just like you. Our only difference is an extra chromosome. My extra chromosome makes me far more tolerant than you sir. (…) If any other heritable traits like skin colour were used to eradicate a group of people the world would cry out. Why are you not crying out when people like me are being made extinct? What have WE done to make you want us to disappear? As far as I know my community doesn’t hate, discriminate or commit crimes. (…) What you are suggesting is Eugenics. It’s disgusting and evil. You need to apologise for your horrible comments. You should also be removed from the Human Rights Committee as an expert. You are not an expert about Down syndrome. You sir, do not speak for My community.
